Nintendo might be paying a lot of attention to Zelda right now. What with concerts, remakes and free games to give away but despite this, you may forget that Metroid is also celebrating it’s 25th anniversary date this year too.
Nintendo Europehas launched an ’official hub’ to help celebrate Samus’s 25th year of bounty hunting. Dubbed ’The Metroid Portal’, the site gives everyone a run down of all the Metroid games throught it’s storied history. There’s one tiny omission though, Metroid II: Return of Samus is getting no love. Perhaps it’ll show up on the Gameboy Virtual Console soon.
Should Metroid be getting some extra anniversary treatment? We think so. At least the website is a start.
