Nintendo of America executive says they are, time to get cubed? The Wii already has online service catering to every Nintendo console released up until the GameCube, but what about the next console? It would be only prudent to update the offerings for the next console in the line, right? Well, it looks like Nintendo may be doing that.
Speaking to NintendoGal, Nintendo of America executive Amber McCollom has revealed that indeed the Wii Us WiiWare will be offering GameCube games. Heres the quote;
"GameCube discs will not be compatible with Wii U, but a number of the games that were playable on GameCube can be downloaded from WiiWare."
Sure why not.
Now WiiWare and even other Ware offerings arent a part of the eShop so were not sure if shes misspoken on this occasion but at least we do know the old purple cubes games will be getting another audience.
