Nintendo reveals which breeds are in which version If the decision between a black or blue 3DS wasn’t hard enough, deciding which version of Nintendogs + Cats to pickup for yourself your little sister is about to add another layer of pondering to that. Each of the versions contains a different line-up of dogs.
If you somehow pick up the wrong version of the game, don’t worry. Like the Nintendo DS games you can unlock the other dog breeds over time, though with the StreetPass feature it is made much easier this time around. Sadly, it doesn’t look like there are too many different breeds of cats; you can only choose between standard, oriental and longhair types, but unlike the dogs, they’ll be the same on all versions of the game.
