You know things are close when Nintendo Japan has put it up on their website! The official website for the Nintendo eShop has gone live and with it is the reveal of the entire line-up of Virtual Console games, 3D originals (3DSWare) and 3D Classics titles. Let’s take a look.
There will be 6 Game Boy games available from day one and they include Super Mario Land, Kirby’s Dream Land, Baseball, Phantasm, Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge and one delightful titled called Downtown Special: Kunio-kun’s Historical Drama with Everyone Assembled! All of the games will be 400 yen (no more stupid points with the eShop, remember). That’s about $4.50 in dollarydoos. Remember, all of these games above are in 2D.
But wait, there’s more! There are two original 3D titles coming on launch day too. Nintendo’s not using the 3DSWare moniker with these games so we’re not sure what they are really, but they’re called Mystery P.I.: The Missing Film and 3D Block Breaker. Each of those are 500 yen.
Finally there are two 3D Classics titles coming. First up is Excitebike which will be free until the 31st of July, and then there is Xevious, the classic arcade shmup. Excitebike will join Xevious at 600 yen when the free period is over.
Less exciting, a trailer of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D will be available to download as well. And remember, all of the previous DSiWare games are available for download too.
We hope to learn our fate of what games we’ll get here in Australia soon enough. Keep it locked to Vooks - we’ve got a Japanese 3DS and we’ll be covering anything that you can’t get in Australia.
