You want to see pictures of the the new Nintendo console in all its plastic glory? Of course you do.
So here they are. Right below these words.
It seems that Unreal Engine 3 developer, Epic Games is supporting Nintendo's new home console, if a report in Develop is to be believed, with Epic VP Mark Rein strongly indicating to the games developer trade mag that Epic is supporting Wii U.
Develop notes that: "Last month Rein said 'the second Nintendo releases a piece of hardware that can run our engine well, we'll be on it like water on fish.'
"Today he tells Develop: 'Water, meet fish!'"
Unreal Engine 3 powers loads of the most popular fast-moving shooters on PS3 and Xbox 360. Could this mark the beginning of an era of high def, hardcore gaming on a new Nintendo console?
It's all speculation and hearsay for now, of course. So, for now, at least until we get some form of official confirmation that Epic is supporting Wii U, simply feast your eyes on the first press pics of the new Nintendo Wii U console and controller.
Wii U: touchscreen control of your TV-based gaming
Wii U: 6.2-inch touchscreen control pad: yep, it's quite big!
Wii U console: looks very much like the Wii in style and size
Wii U baseball: use your control pad as a catcher mitt
Wii U tech demo: a bird in the hand is worth a new Nintendo games console
Mario on Wii U?: it's an appealing prospect
